So, as I said the purpose of this site is to show part of my activity on computer graphics and realted topics, and not to speak much about
me or my private life. There are few exceptions however, and this is one of them. San Sebastian (or Donostia, as we call it there) is the city were I was born. It's a small (180 thousand inhabitants) friendly and really beautiful city in the Basque Country - north of Spain (yes, that's somewhere in Europe). The thing is that it's not beautiful to me just because I grew up there - anyone that has visit it will tell you that. Other than the nice romantic style builings, the gardens, or even the bay and the Santa Clara island, you can also enjoy nature without moving to far. Like the 23 degrees of water temperature in any of the three beaches during the summer; or surfing the nice waves in september -yeah, this is the Athlantic!-, practice fishing or enjoy the mountains arround during autumn, and go skiing to the Pirineans during winter until april, just when the spring is making a walk in the mountains irresistible again. And whenever you go, be ready to enjoy an exquisite gastronomy (don't forget to ask for a few "pintxos" -also known as "tapas" in Spain- in any bar at any time). This is a place where you have the best of a city like Amsterdan or Vienna and the best of nature like the Alpes and a warm beach-season, all in one. If it was not so expensive and didn't have to pay for an appartment (much) more than in most european country capitals, I would say this is one of the nicest places in the world to life. Well, go there and then you tell me. |
![]() A panoramic view where you can see two of the three beaches (the good one to surf is just where the bay ends and the ocean is open to the city). |

![]() It is said that the last ray of light of the day is green... I tried many times to watch it from "El Pase Nuevo", but I only see orange ones... |

I want to include some pictures of Basque Country too, just becasuse Basque Country is much more than what you might have listened on the TV and newspapers. So in case you ever wondered how Basque Country looks like, find here some pictures taken by my father (no photoshoping, other than rescaling): ![]() ![]() You can find more pictures here. |
