Here you will find some realtime executables showing fractals of many kinds.

algorithms
This realtime demo, called The Frontiner Between Art and Science was made for an exposition of fractal art made by a group of artists with the same name as the demo. It shows many realtime effects mixed with fractal images, as well as realtime julia set morphings with some orbit traps. It was made in the year 2000.

This one, called Julia Slide Show and made in 2001, is a 4096 bytes executable showing 8 julia sets with orbit traps algorithms.

This is a realtime no-fake, no-trick navigation test on the Mandelbrot set (get it here). It was basically made to test the SSE instruction set, that allows up to four floating point operations to be done per cycle. Quite fast (30 fps), but could be improved I gess.

3d fractals
Do click HERE to download the realtime "3d julia sets" executable (9 kbytes!). Runs on Win98, Xp and 2000, with OpenGl 1.1. Made in 2002.

A bit newer version of the above (made in 2005). Quality substantially improved by increasing the amount of points by a factor of 50. Now two million points cloud voxel running at 45 fps with nice shading (using this technique). Get it HERE (6 Megabytes). It runs on Win98, Xp and 2000, with OpenGl. You will need 300 Megabytes of free memory to execute this one in it's current status, and a good graphics card (Radeon 9700 of above).

In 2007 I made this new realtime animation of julia sets. You will need a powerfull graphics card to run this one. The download is very small, don't worry, nothing wrong. I managed to embed all the code, algorithm and music in 4 kilobytes. If you have a poor graphics card, you can always enjoy the video althugh I recommend you to try the realtime demo presented here.

fbm
Here you can download one of my first experiments with fbm's. Camera movement, cloud, colors and background textures are made by using fbm's (27 kbytes!). Runs on Win95, 98, Xp and 2000 with OpenGl 1.1. Made in 2003.

Do click HERE to download the realtime "Paradise is coming" executable (40 kbytes!). Runs on Win95, 98, Xp and 2000 with OpenGl 1.1, music incorporated. It shows fractal mountains, fractal clouds, fractal grass and fractal snow movement. Made in 2002.
