During 2005 I did some research on realtime raytracing of massive models. As any researcher on the field I needed to test with the famous Boeing 777 model
containing 350 million triangles (and as other, I got it working at interactive rates -5 fps- on a SGI computer with 4 CPUs). So my boss Alain Hubretch
contacted Boeing to get it. Dave Kasik was the responsible for delivering the model, so we showed him the results. He later got the idea of organizing
a tutorial session for siggraph or eurographics, and so I was invited. Abe Stephens from Utah and Philipp Slusallek prepared the submission to eurographics
and so it happend that I prepared this short presentation for the event. It was very nice to met the academic world and have a chat with Sung-eui Yoon or
Wagner Correa for example. Well. This is the official page of the tutorial: http://www.sci.utah.edu/~abe/massive06/. This is the tutorial-notes paper.
