In 2006 I made my first incursion into the academic world of the computer graphics. Hopefully it will not be the last one.
Eurographics 06
Right after the ICM 2006 (three days later) I went to Vienna to Eurographics 2006 to give a small lecture in the "Real Time Interactive Massive Model
Visualization" tutorial session. Most of the other lecturers spoke about realtime raytracing on massive models or in output sensitive rasterization
techniques for logarithmic performance. I could have spoken about all this and actually other tricks, but these are obviously kind of "the small secret"
we use at work, so I could not spread much info. Instead, during my presentation I put on the table some of the most common problems a developper has to
face when making a software product that has to be sold to get money and life, rather than just experimenting for pure research. I thing the presentation
was funy at least.

Siggraph 07
One year later we gave a one day tutorials sesion on Massive Model visualization based on what we learned from Eurographics. The experience was very
interesting, and I got to know San Diego :)
